Store Officer

Purpose of the Role 
To effectively manage day-to-day Stores and Warehouse operations in an integrated steel plant by ensuring the timely receipt, inspection, identification, storage, preservation, and issue of spares, consumables, and maintenance materials. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and material documentation, ensuring optimum stock availability for Production, Maintenance, Utilities, and Projects, and controlling inventory through systematic monitoring, physical verification, and reconciliation.

Job Responsibilities (KRA)

• Manage day-to-day stores and warehouse activities in an integrated steel plant. 
• Handle receipt, inspection, storage and issue of spares, consumables and maintenance materials. 
• Maintain stock records, bin locations, material identification and documentation. 
• Ensure timely material availability for Production, Maintenance, Utilities and Projects. 
• Prepare/handle GRN, Material Issue, Material Return and Stock Transfer transactions. 
• Monitor stock levels, shortages, slow-moving and non-moving materials. 
• Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies. 
• Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance, Production and other departments. 
• Ensure proper preservation, storage and housekeeping of materials. 
• Work with SAP MM / ERP for stores and inventory transactions. 

Job Requirements (KPI)
Candidates currently or previously working in integrated steel plants in India, with hands-on experience in plant stores, maintenance stores, inventory and SAP/ERP.
