Purpose of the Role
The incumbent will be responsible for managing plant HR operations, employee relations, grievance handling, employee engagement, and other employee-related matters. The role requires close coordination with plant and functional teams to address manpower and workforce requirements, ensure effective implementation of HR policies, and support smooth day-to-day HR operations.
The incumbent should be technology savvy and capable of using SAP/HRMS, digital HR tools, and HR analytics to improve HR processes and employee services.
Job Responsibilities (KRA)
• Act as HR Business Partner for the plant, working closely with plant leadership and department heads on people priorities.
• Handle day-to-day employee issues, grievances and concerns at the plant, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
• Support and drive employee engagement, communication and welfare initiatives at the plant level.
• Partner with plant management on manpower planning, workforce deployment and organisation structuring.
• Coordinate and support recruitment for plant-level positions in line with business requirements.
• Drive performance management processes at the plant, including goal setting, appraisals and feedback cycles.
• Support implementation of HR policies, processes and compliance requirements at the plant.
• Work with Production, Maintenance and other plant functions to address people-related issues affecting operations.
• Use HR systems and digital tools/dashboards for tracking manpower data, MIS and HR metrics.
• Support disciplinary processes, domestic enquiries and employee relations matters as required.
• Drive training and development initiatives in coordination with plant heads and L&D teams.
• Ensure timely and accurate HR reporting and MIS to plant and corporate HR leadership.
Job Requirements (KPI)
• 5–7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in handling employee issues and employee relations at the plant level.
• BE / B.Tech / MBA.
• Technology-savvy, comfortable working with HR systems, MIS and digital tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with plant leadership and shop-floor employees.
• Ability to work independently at the plant while aligning with corporate HR practices and policies.
