Purpose of the Role
Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of IT / Infrastructure & Cloud to lead and transform the organization's entire IT landscape. The incumbent will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of IT infrastructure, driving cloud adoption, and ensuring seamless technology operations across all Moon Steel facilities and departments. This is a leadership role requiring a blend of deep technical expertise and strong business acumen.
Job Responsibilities (KRA)
IT Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the IT roadmap aligned with Moon Steel's business objectives and growth strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team across infrastructure, cloud, networks, and support functions.
Cloud Infrastructure & Management
- Oversee the design, deployment, and governance of cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP or hybrid environments).
- Lead cloud migration strategies ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximum cost efficiency.
- Implement cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Manage SLAs, cloud vendor relationships, and licensing agreements.
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage on-premise and hybrid infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and data centers.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning across all IT systems.
- Oversee backup strategies, data integrity, and IT asset lifecycle management.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, uptime, and incident response
Security & Compliance
- Plan and execute PM schedules for all MRSS and utility electrical assets
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions
- Maintain equipment history, failure records, and spares inventory in SAP / CMMS
Compliance & Safety
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure IT compliance with local regulations, data protection standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and staff awareness training.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Prepare and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts with technology vendors and service providers.
- Track ROI on IT investments and present findings to leadership.
Job Requirements (KPI)
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
- Relevant certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, ITIL, CCNP, PMP, or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven experience managing IT operations within a manufacturing, steel, or heavy industry environment is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale IT infrastructure or digital transformation projects.
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Strong expertise in networking, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and enterprise storage solutions.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) integration with IT infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, firewalls, VPNs, and identity management.
- Experience with ITSM tools (Freshservice, Jira, or similar) and IT governance frameworks.
Management & Leadership Skills
- Ability to manage and inspire diverse IT teams across multiple locations within Moon Steel.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging C-level executives.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align IT initiatives to Moon Steel's broader business goals.
- Change management expertise to drive technology adoption across departments.
