Medical Advisor Lead – Dermatology

Purpose of the Role 

The Medical Affairs professional acts as the key scientific and clinical expert supporting the development, launch, and lifecycle management of products. This role bridges clinical practice and product strategy by providing deep dermatological expertise, facilitating scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, and ensuring that all medical content and activities meet the highest standards of accuracy, ethics, and regulatory compliance. 

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, marketing, Sales), as well as engagement with external stakeholders such as dermatologists, academic researchers, and key opinion leaders. The ultimate goal is to ensure that safe and effective dermatological therapies are used appropriately and backed by strong clinical evidence and real-world insights.

Job Responsibilities (KRA)
1. Scientific Support & Strategy

• Develop and execute the medical strategy for dermatology products aligned with commercial objectives and global medical plans. 
• Contribute to product lifecycle management, including support for clinical development, launch preparation, and post-marketing activities. 
• Provide scientific and clinical expertise in dermatology across cross-functional teams (marketing, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, market access). 

2. Medical Communications & Education 

• Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure compliance with medical, regulatory and UCPMP law. 
• Create and deliver scientific training for internal teams (salesforce, marketing) on dermatological disease areas and products. 
• Develop educational content and programs for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. 
•  Conducting CME’s / RTM’s to healthcare professionals 
•  Attending conferences and representing the organisation 

3. External Engagement 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external experts in dermatology. 
• Organize and participate in Advisory Boards, medical symposia, and scientific congresses. 
• Gather field insights and unmet medical needs to inform strategy and R&D. 

4. Clinical Research Support 

• Support Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies in dermatology. 
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations and R&D to support Phase II-IV clinical trials. 

5. Compliance & Ethics 

• Ensure all activities comply with internal SOPs, industry codes (e.g., EFPIA, PhRMA, UCPMP), and regulatory requirements. 
• Promote ethical standards and scientific integrity in all interactions. 

Job Requirements (KPI)
Educational Qualification: MBBS, MD in life sciences, ideally with dermatology experience. 

Experience : 4+ Years(MD), 12+ Years (MBBS) in Medical Affairs, preferably in dermatology 

• Strong knowledge of skin disorders, including acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and biologic therapies. 
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
