Job Responsibilities (KRA)
MRSS Operations
- Oversee operation and maintenance of HV/EHV equipment — transformers, breakers, protection relays, bus bars, and switchgear
- Monitor load flow, power factor, and demand management at the MRSS
- Ensure zero unplanned outages through preventive and predictive maintenance
- Manage shutdown planning, LOTO procedures, and safe isolation of HV systems
Utility Electrical
- Operate and maintain plant-wide electrical distribution — feeders, MCC panels, LT/HT cables, capacitor banks
- Monitor energy consumption and drive power saving initiatives
- Coordinate with process teams for planned and emergency shutdowns
Systems & Tools
- CIS – Use for power consumption tracking, load billing, and demand monitoring across departments
- GIS – Leverage for electrical network mapping, cable routing, fault tracing, and asset documentation
- Ariba – Raise and process procurement requests for transformers, cables, switchgear, and protection relays
- Pylok – Use for scheduling maintenance crews, dispatching field teams, and tracking work order closure
Maintenance & Reliability
- Plan and execute PM schedules for all MRSS and utility electrical assets
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions
- Maintain equipment history, failure records, and spares inventory in SAP / CMMS
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to CEA regulations, IE Rules, and internal electrical safety standards
- Conduct electrical audits, risk assessments, and PTW (Permit to Work) compliance
- Coordinate with statutory authorities for inspections and licenses
